We present a home-style interpretation of a beverage featured on a new drinks list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed that is loaded with flavours of a holiday season, making it excellent for a holiday party. Save the extra syrup to use in brunch beverages, sweets, or to mix additional servings of this cocktail.

To make the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
For the Citrus Syrup: Put every items inside a pan, bring to a gentle boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the stove allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Transfer to a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for about a month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix the specified spirits and syrup into one large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
To serve: Add 85ml of your batch mix to a mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring carefully for one minute to cool it down. Filter into an chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, garnish with some cranberries and finish with a light spray with the mandarin essence over the top.
